Elephants can make self-portraits of themselves and paint?
WOW!, it amazes me all that in this world could exist that we ignore… again we have to thanks the mind blowing expansion of the internet and technological advances for that.
While doing some “relaxed” search on youtube I just found out a video comming from Thailand about elephants who are trained to paint… the drawings I saw were exceptionally good for an elephant (at least much better than any drawing I could make) and I could not avoid stand in awe to what such a big animal can do.
Spiritually speaking, long time it has been discussed if animals had the same spiritual qualities, if they could really understand us or even see the world as we see it, so when I see videos of elephants drawing themselves with a flower on their noses, beautiful trees, landscapes it simply moves my heart.
Drawing have always been considered a form of moving information from your brain to the outside world but thinking that an elephant can also do that is just simply amazing.
In a more ecological point of view I take my hats off to the immense respect for elephants in Thailand, I am happy that they are considered sacred so at least they are taken care well and not mistreated.
To see these kinds of things, things that one does not expect to see is what really makes me believe that we live in a constant miracle, so if you have your eyes open you will never be able to say that you have seen it all…
