How many times have your family or friends advised you about something so you do not make the same mistake as they did yet you still go ahead and make the same mistake?, Are we bad at listening for other people’s opinion or advice?

Or maybe you are the kind of person who hears everyone’s advise and you are always in some way doing or living other people’s opinion and experiences.

The truth is that there is no real truth and the ultimate truth is what is true for you.

We tend to create our world around what WE BELIEVE is true and so it will be, so for each human being there is a different truth. Difficult to understand? Not really, let see some examples

I believe that Sodas in general have a detrimental effect on health and for that reason I don’t drink any kind of sodas.

I believe that BIO food is the same as regular food and I do not see why shall I pay more for the same food.

I believe that I can have all I wish in life and money and spirit goes hand in hand.

I believe that if I work smarter I will get the most out of my work

I believe that following my plans is the shortest way to my goals, no matter if my plan is less efficient than someone else plan.

are all my beliefs true for you? Do I really care if that is true for you or not?

I see this everyday at my day job, 2 different people will invest on certain financial instrument and based on their own beliefs and experiences one will end up making money and the other will not but the truth is that the instrument moved in the same direction (up or down) for both.

Many of you surely spend a lot of time on other blogs looking for clues about how they did do to make money out of their blogs, but haven’t you noticed yet that each site have a different strategy to reach the same goal?. There is nothing magical about that but we tend to believe that there is a magical formula and we want to copy the exact steps. But your truth is not necessarily the same as other people’s truth, just develop a plan and work with it. Always remember that, “there are many ways to skin a cat”.

It is important to understand that other people experiences are not indicators of what we could expect to experience but it is easy for us to get our experiences influenced if we believe in other people’s truth.

Recently I was watching a video (link below) from a man who had this Idea and belief that there should be something much better than a wheel to transport stuff, personally I would have never spent my time trying to reinvent the wheel because in my beliefs the wheel was the most perfect way to move stuff around, and why not? it is round, no edges and work on almost all terrains. As you will see this person would think totally different and in fact now I can see how in the future we will see advanced military and heavyweight transportation stuff happening with this new “wheel” . This looks a little bit Star Wars, scary indeed, won’t like to cross myself with such a “creature”

My conclusion and recommendation is:
Do not spend your time trying to learn from other people’s experience or opinions as they will be no indicative of your future results. Spend more time finding out how could you do it and believing in that the way YOU see the truth is the correct way to reach your goal.
