Martial Artist generates 1 Ton of force in just 2ms, proven by BMW
We often underestimate ourselves, it happens every day in every field of our life, there could be many reasons for that but the most important one is that everything is in your mind.
There is an important principle called the principle of identity, this principle says that we all humans are identical, we have 2 legs, 2 arms, 1 head, 2 eyes and so on, the difference resides in our mind, and what do we think about ourselves.
What helped me change the way I saw things in life was Martial Arts and the reason I seriously first enrolled myself in a Martial Arts school when I was 15 years old was the fact that I wanted to believe in “magicâ€. Punching and kicking is just the way to the mean but what hides behind of that is what I really love.
Again, what differentiate you from anyone else is your discipline, consistency and training all that requires time, there is no shortcut for that.
I hear you say that it is all just a physics trick, and you are right, but that is not the point, the point is all the training you need to make your hands or legs to consistently reach the necessary speed, the precision to earn the skill to break anything. Training, discipline and consistency and this formula repeats everywhere for everything you wish to do.
The power of 10.000 newton
Probably the one most impressing accomplishment from Grandmaster Kwon, Jae-Hwa to be awed and admired is his legendary pebble stone power test, during which he shatters the stone with his bare hand. Not to say that he is also around 70 years old as of today (2007).
The undertaking of research testing and documentation was possible and arranged for at the BMW AG in Munich. There is a section called “EK4″ which is responsible for safety and stability tests of newly developed automobile chassis. In this section the BMW AG usually conducts all sorts of “crash tests”. Grand Master Kwon agreed to let them measure the impact power of his fist strike and the force of a strike with the inside edge of his hand.

The measuring instrument, a “piezo-electronic” platform can register up to 100,000 Newton, this is a thrust of power equal to ten (10) tons, of force upon impact. The accuracy rate of the instrument is within plus minus 0,3%. The researchers also took sequence photographs - with the high speed camera, during the power tests. In fact, the greatest amount of force monitored occurred during an unsuccessful attempt by Grand Master Kwon. By the fail try the force measured upon impact to the stone - only 1,5 Milliseconds after impact, was more than 10,000 Newton (one ton). By the successful power test Grand Master Kwon only needed to apply 6,000 Newton of force for the stone to give. The fact that he achieves the maximum amount of force at the exact moment of impact - or as per test data within 1,5 Milliseconds after impact, lead to the success of the power test. In the opinion of the BMW-Man, “This is only possible when one imagines that the Stone does not actually exist or when one is totally convinced that the Stone will shatter”, so the BMW-Representative further; “Even though Grand Master Kwon conveyed very strong and convincing will power a justifiable margin of doubt forced us to accept the fact that a miscalculation was still possible”. Let us assume that the fist of Grand Master Kwon converts 10,000 Newton of force within two milliseconds after contact to circa one centimeter of surface. The disfigurement of his hand would happen as a result of the challenge (!) “Man - against - 66 HP of Force”

Hey there!
My name is Steve. I’m currently a green belt in the Kwon Jae Hwa federation.
Are you also a member of the federation or just a fan?
It’s always fun to meet people that are in the system
