9 Reasons to believe in the Law of Attraction.
It is very interesting what we in the present time could miss from what we as humans have already learned in the past. Believe it or not you are not the first one on earth and you do not really need to reinvent the wheel every time you learn about a new subject.
For that reason if you are smart enough and read biographies of other people who lived before us you will notice a very powerful constant, all of them knew about the law of attraction it is just that each of them had its own way to interpret it and to describe it.
Why do I believe the Law of Attraction exists?
There are many reasons I have to believe that the Law of Attraction exists, for me it all started by looking for more information on about HOW can I exploit the laws of the universe for my own good. Here I am resuming what it will be extended in further posts:
1. Humans have a very important gift and that is Imagination, without Imagination the Law of Attraction could not exist. Without Dreams and desires the Law of Attraction could not exist.
2. As soon as I was aware of the Law of Attraction and disciplined myself to believe in it, have faith in it and also order my thoughts, dreams and expectation in the way I want them to happen, I immediately started to receive and SEE the “coincidences†(I would call them synchronicities) when my wishes were in the process of materialization.
3. I further researched in the fields of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing with almost unbelievable results, what I found was without a doubt that consciousness exists and it is aware of everything in this Universe whether you use that skill or not.
4. I did discover the amazing power of INTENTION, Intention happens even before you are aware that you will intend something. I am very thankful for having discovered this when I was assisting a seminar for a medical product which was able to spot a disease that you will have in the near future.
5. Some actual scientific research in the Quantum field clearly shows that the Law of Attraction is perfectly attainable, because you the one who is looking for something and expecting something will get exactly the same result in the Quantum field as what you expect to see.
6. The movie “The Secret†is the perfect manifestation of what is possible when many “Law of Attraction†expert teachers gather. The Movie “The Secret†was a perfect success out of nowhere with almost no advertising budget. Can you imagine how this could have happened? A Miracle? I would call it Powered Wishes. Skeptics will say that is just viral or word of mouth, well my friend that is just one layer of the process of the law of attraction and you are interested in the lower level where everything starts, your mind.
7. I discovered that when I am grateful, when I let go, when I just trust then whatever I put in my mind it becomes a reality at the right time. For that I use my emotions and feelings, just as it is explained in Abraham-Hicks books, feelings are our GPS in order to know if we are aligned with our wishes and our goals.
8. Since the beginning of my experimentation with the Law of Attraction I have kept a dairy of all the wishes and thoughts I had in mind in order to assess in the future if they have become a reality or not. I can say that up to now almost all have become a reality and I keep doing that in order to keep track of it. If you are reading this blog now is because you are seeing one of my wishes coming true.
9. Creativity is at the very core of each soul, each person. You are driven to create experience. Creativity is also part of your service to the greater whole. As you create, you discover more of who you are through observing your creation. It is the very nature of the soul to be creative, but many of you have forgotten your creativity by believing that the ways in which you can express yourselves are limited to certain jobs, roles, and functions in life.
Maybe you have other reasons to believe in the Law of attraction, just send a comment and share your thoughts they will always be welcome.

I have been using LOA to bring visitors to my Web sites. I intend to manifest the traffic I need build up my online income so that I can pursue my creative goals and help others around me. Your words were an inspiration and needed to give me another bump in the right direction.

I have no doubts of the power of attraction… and have noticed that just like you say, when my feelings are aligned then they become reality. As I see it, the Universe looks for ‘evidence’ (for lack of a better word) that we are committed to our intentions… when we take action (whether it be doing something, or feeling something), it listens and begins to align things.
I wrote two stories which are really about the Law of Attraction. The first one, “Star Light Star Bright” is an example of intention becoming reality at a young age for me, and the second one, “Champion” is an example of how intention gives us what we ask for / feel, which isn’t always what we think we want. (i.e. sometimes we set our sights too low… and we get what we ask for)

This is a great example of positive thinking and if everyone truly believed it, who would perceive them to be fighting someone else’s wars?
On a side-note, coming from StumbleUpon I have no idea what the Law of Attraction really was but from the gist of your text it sounds very similar to Subjective Reality.

For some reasons, the law of attraction just seems to work.
I don’t know why it works, it just works.

the law of attraction is also a physical principe: like vibrations attract like vibrations. at its heart, matter is vibration, as well as imagination. manifesting things is projecting a vibration and receiving a like vibration in response.

HI Everyone, thank you very much for your comments, I will certainly explain in depth each of the points I made on this article, my idea is not to define what the law of attraction is but to give you all the tools and thoughts that are needed in order find your own way through it, I do have certainly experienced the law of attraction in many many things and me as analitical by nature have been able to detect the possible reasons (at least in my case) of why it works for me, hopefully those ideas will help you find your own “why it works”. As a tip of the iceberg for what is about to come I will tell you the following: Everyone of you is always right and there is no way to be wrong … more on that sentence in the following posts.
Happy to have you all and wishing you the best forever…

Three Reasons Not to Believe in the Law of Attraction:
1. It is completely invalidated by the scientific method. Quantum Physics does not predict anything like the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is a human construct based on the Sokal Hoax. Look it up.
2. Lynn Grabhorn, author of Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting, died of cancer. So much for attraction.
3. The over 2 million Vietnamese who were sprayed with napalm didn’t die because they couldn’t appeal to the Law of Attraction.
4. There is nothing spiritual or magical about taking responsibility for yourself and having a positive outlook and working hard towards positive ends. Why does it need to be magic?
on June 20th, 2007 at 7:54 am
You are completely right , for that is what you decided to believe… it is as easy as that
and true… life have always been surrounded by magic in order for us to believe something is special… that is why religion exists and some other people go with magick, it is all about faith and what you decide to believe with…

The ‘law of attraction’ comes down to one thing; a positive mindset that, when you make it a part of your personality, will open up your mind to possibilities, make you more approachable, and thus give you more freedom.
It is purely psychological - you train yourself to have a positive outlook, and so learn to overcome the mental hurdles that are buried within your mind.
As with countless other things - it’s all in your head. LOA is just a misguided explanation to the same end.

Law of attraction works. It doesn’t matter if others don’t believe it. Only you.

Quite a few interesting replies.
Who knew that Lynn Grabhorn’s demise could make another downright giddy for finally having “proof” that the law of attraction is bogus.
Just because Ms. Grabhorn wrote a book and was fully educated about the loa process does not mean she was immune from manifesting from a place of default.
And in terms of the napalm example, feel free to read my take on Darfur, Hitler, Rwanda at:

Either way, I’m not here to convince you of anything.

Literally, Lynn Grabhorn’s book, “Excuse Me…” changed my life, my entire outlook on life. I just learned last week that she died. I have to say this threw me off a bit especially since in her book she was so convincing that you could over come something like cancer. She mentioned people that had. She even at one point said there was no reason for medical ailments or even death for that matter. I believed her. Truly. And I guess I just figured that she would be someone who would still be alive and healthy for many many years to come. Does anyone have any details on her death? Wasn’t she quite young, in her sixties? This would really help me, thanks.

REGARDING THE DEATH OF LYNN GRABHORN:
To All Nay-sayers as well as Disheartened Believers,
Lynn’s death proves NOTHING.
first of all, it is arrogant to assume that you know she was not ready to die and happily welcoming it. abnormal? sure. but if you don’t approach situations like this with open-mindedness and rather assume another’s emotional or mental state based on YOUR perspective, then you’ve learned nothing of the Law Of Attraction and you have no strong basis to debate it. in fact, your scepticism and default auto-damning is the proof that you have not opened your mind to the possibility that you do not know everything. you have that right - the right to believe that you’ve got everything in proper perspective and completely under control. this perspective however, is usually the sign of a person suffering inside every day of their lives because in reality, they feel very much out of control.
i say again, while it’s abnormal and maybe unlikely, perhaps it was Lynn’s will to pass. we don’t know. to assume you do know another’s intentions or emotional state makes a fool of YOU - not her work! i would however suggest taking a look at her last message to her students/readers which is on her website: lynngrabhorn.com. it might help you understand her perspective a bit more before you run around on the internet claiming to know what it was she wanted when she died. more importantly, i would suggest to always give the benefit of the doubt - in any situation. it makes life much more enjoyable by untying you to BLAME, it will also help you to avoid looking foolish (which is nice too!).
with love,

As sad as Lynn’s death is, I don’t beleive we need to look at in a ‘faith’ way. It is common to think about death as failure. Especially when you look at the culture, anthropology, ans psychological facts about what makes humans tick and what our societies are based on.
This statement is vague, but really don’t feel the need to write a novel supporting my theory at this point. What I can say is that ‘unknown = bad’ is something so ingrained in humans that it’s taught to us form the very begining…but we are not born with it.
So let me back up an addess what I mean by faith. Faith is the belief that cannot be shaken by facts, logic, reason, or anything really. In some parts I believe it to be good. On the whole, it’s VERY blinding.
Why Lynn died can when she believed so readily in law of attraction? In my opinion, she explained it well in her stories about her life. She had lived most of her life in fear and negativity. Say what you want, but that much negativity will attract a BIG ball of bad. The length of time she spent negative also works out the momentum. Now if you spend 30 years on negative thoughts and only 5 year positive, I think it’s safe to reason that you stand to still be hit with some of that negative reaction, I’d also like to point out that Lynn is human, and although she saved many with her writings and ideas, she’s not infalable. To think she must live up to a ‘God’ standard of perfection. And live an imortal life for years and years as proof of her teachings…well, you remember what I said about faith? It’s silly and it proves you haven’t really looked at the teachings if you cannot give her credit where credit is due. She was human, she had a message that was delivered, and she died. Her death has everything to do with her life (as will all of ours) and has no bearing on her message. Also that she might have beleived things that had no bearing on her circumstances/didn’t save her in the end, proves that she is still human. We’re allowed to make mistakes.
Now this may seem sarcastic but really I don’t mean it to be. Why exactly is death such a bad end to cancer? Think about it. REALLY think about it? Is death (even if you don’t believe in LOA) such a bad thing? Personally I see it as the end of a cycle. Whatever the existence/non-existance/whatever you beleive is after death…it’s still a natural cylce. Natural isn’t bad, nor is it good…it just is.

Weird that I never go online anymore (I’m kind of burned out at the moment because I’m starting my own business) and the one time I do I end up in a RANDOM place actually making a comment! Anyway… I thought I may have 2 cents to add, so here you go. I’ve read Lynn’s book, Excuse Me Your Life Is Waiting and have found it very helpful in that she details everything step by step - which I needed. I’ve also read some of the Seth material by Jane Roberts (which is so well known I’m sure most of you have read it) and there was an instance in one book (I can’t remember which one) where a close friend dies and she too is somewhere around 40 - 50 years old. I think she was a therapist or psychologist. When Jane’s students ask Seth to explain why this person had died at such a young age - especially in light of this “new” information Seth had given the students about their lifespans being in their own control - Seth told them the following: (this is NOT verbatim) She had recently - within the last year - had her ideas/hypothesis on some psychological issues disproven, which was very difficult because she truly believed in them. Possibly because of that - or maybe something else, her Source Energy/Whole Self/Extended Self felt that her work here, in that time and that body, had run it’s course and that it was time to (for lack of a better term) move on.
My very rough idea here is that Lynn’s rather odd book, God What’s Happening To Us? may have not been her best work (maybe it WAS and I’m wrong - who knows?!) and that after so many struggles in her life, with alcoholism, negative feelings, and awful boyfriends over the years it may have just been her time to start “fresh” with a much lighter load. This is just my thought on the matter. If it helped anyone, I’m thrilled.
Much love peace joy and kind thoughts and feelings to all who read this…
