Infinite Music
How is it possible to have some much diversity of things in the world and so many different flavors that are coming from the very same basic components? And still be space in this world for more.
When I was 15 years old, I had this kind of usual fever for music in which you want to learn a musical instrument, have your own band and impress girls. It was no surprise that I chose the guitar as my favorite instrument. How to make music codes was my goal.
I wanted to be the best guitar player and I did all I could to get the best teachers in town to teach me. One day I was in a Shopping Mall and I saw this guy playing the guitar, he was amazing, he would play through many Chromatic Scales like if he were just sliding his hands, so smooth, secure, possessed by the instrument, he would even play with his teeth, it was clear that he had a very impressive domain of the instrument. You would easily notice that the instrument was kind of an extension of himself, his way to express himself.
After many visits to his show, I convinced him to teach me how to play the guitar in exchange for English Lessons. I learned a lot about music and the Chromatic Scales:
Basically the chromatic scale is a scale which include all 12 notes. Other scales are based on this and many other combinations derive from it as well. The definition of a chromatic movement means a movement from a tone to another tone which are a semitone apart(from La to La Minor or MI to FA ). A piece of music defined as being chromatic means using all 12 notes and not having a fixed base on a particular scale.
This means in other words, that you only have 12 tones per scale which are harmonic to each other and not all the chromatic scales that you use to derive from the basic chromatic scale are under the same tone (not harmonic) then it looks like that your range to create harmonic music is quite limited.
But that is a wrong guess and another irrefutable fact that the Universe is infinite. Remember that music is vibration and we are all made of vibration, then the limit is just your creative mind or the creative force of the Universe which is infinite.
If you are one of those who hear lots of music you will notice that it is almost impossible for 2 songs from 2 different artist sound the same (unless of course they copied the music), that is what I would call creativity!
There are millions of songs and melodies created since the very beginnings of humanity and still it is kind of hard to find to melodies that sound the same. The music industry is still expanding and you do not hear any artist saying that there is no way to create anything new.
If you are awake enough you will notice that music is just another sign given by the Universe to teach us a lesson about success. There is no limits, except for those that you impose yourself. You are free to have everything you wish. It is not about competition but about creativity. If you focus on yourself and in being as much more creative as possible then you will succeed and if you make right use of this born right then you do not need to worry about competition or competitors in your same field of knowledge.
So to end this analogy, I quit on the guitar quite easy because it was not my best way to show my creativity and express my emotions in a way that would really help me release my stress and make me happy, so I continued with what I have been doing all my life since I was 8 years old, in other words my way to express myself: Martial Arts.
